After lobbying council as a businessman, Eric Lovas has decided to join them. Lovas is the co-owner of Co-ot Taxi, and he's made delegations to city hall in an effort to improve the way rates are set, as well as how drivers are licenced.
Three others have also entered the race to be a Kenora city councillor. Incumbent Mort Goss, police officer Bob Bernie and Kirsi Ralko have filed their paperwork. Anthony Leek has announced his intent to run as well, and says that he is in the process of filing his paperwork. There are six seats available.
City councillor Dan Reynard is still the only nominee for mayor. Voting day is at the end of October.
