The two local provincial electoral districts saw low turnout for advance polling.
The new riding of Kiiwetinoong had the lowest turnout in any riding across Ontario. Kenora-Rainy River had the fifth lowest advanced voter turnout. However, it should be noted that both local districts are some of the smallest districts in the province, when looking at population.
Provincially, advance voting saw a roughly 20 per cent increase compared to previous years with 769,000 casting their ballots early. That’s 7.5 per cent of the 10.2 million eligible Ontario voters.
Voting day is set for tomorrow.
