After the success of the Summer Games and Hockey Day in Canada, Kenora Mayor Dave Canfield says it's a good time to get back to the drawing board.

"We've got so many things we want to see happen," he said, noting important issues such as the need for more housing and hotel rooms.

"I see Kenora growing dramatically over the next five, 10 years, but there are things we have to put in place first," the mayor added.

In the short-term, of course, city residents can look forward to the tree-lighting ceremony Friday, the parade in two weeks time, followed by the CP Holiday Train.
