Residents woke up to snow today in northwestern Ontario. Environment Canada Meteorologist Gerald Cheng discussed the change in weather.
"The airport reported 1 cm for overnight. So, not a big snow like they're having in Alberta, but definitely a stark reminder that pretty soon it's going to be winter,"
Cheng said there is still the possibility of more snow before morning.
"With the system that's coming in later today and into tonight, we're expecting about 2 cm. But during the day temperatures do warm up above zero and go to 4 and 5 degrees or so, and we're expecting that snow to change over," he said.
For the long weekend we can expect clouds, and cool temperatures, with the possibility of more snow.
