Earlier this week, trustees joined with students as they moved to the music. Cecile Marcino is the vice-chair of the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, and she supports efforts to get students up and moving.
"I think it's awesome. I think our kids need to get up and get moving more often. They're more open to learning things," she said.
Before the end of the school year, Marcino is hoping to see the initiative expanded to include students from kindergarten to Grade 8 across the board.
