Federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh has his work cut out for him, if he wants to duplicate the success of provincial New Democrats.
At Queen's Park, they form the opposition, following last June's election. However, if a federal election were held today, polls say Singh's party might only get 24 of 338 seats.
New Democrats currently hold 41 seats in the House of Commons, and they would need 169 to form a majority government. Singh was an MPP in Toronto, before winning the federal party's leadership last October.
Singh is expected to visit students at Beaver Brae tomorrow. The next federal election is expected in the fall of 2019.
