The Ne-Chee Friendship Centre is moving.
The Friendship Centre will be relocating to 326 Second St. South next month.
Patti Fairfield, executive director of the Friendship Centre, explained the decision.
“Ne-Chee’s move is not only due to accessibility, but it has outgrown its current location. This has meant renting space for some programs,” Fairfield said in a press release earlier today. “This move will allow all programs to be in one location with the exception of two positions at the Kenora Jail and the three court worker positions that operate out of the Kenora courthouse.”
Ne-Chee currently offers 18 programs which cover everything from health, justice, education, employment/training, and social services.
They will be celebrating their new location with an open house and grand opening on their 41st anniversary on May 31.
The current location is on Railway St.
