Kenora Hydro customers will be noticing changes in how they're billed.
Since the merger with Thunder Bay Hydro was approved by the Ontario Energy Board in November, the City of Kenora has been working on splitting the utility bill for customers. They will now get a water and sewer bill, along with a separate hydro bill from the newly-formed company called Synergy North.
City clerk Heather Kasprick notes there's a toll-free number for hydro customers, along with a web site, where consumers can get more information on their service and account. Those who are used to paying their bills at Kenora's city hall will be able to continue, she emphasized.
Their rates are the same as provincial rates, and they are as follows:
- OFF Peak $0.065 / kWh Lowest
- MID Peak $0.094 / kWh Moderate
- ON Peak $0.132 / kWh Highest
