Students in the Open Roads School Fine Arts program have talent, and they can prove it.

The students are featured in a new video filmed during a talent show hosted by the school.

Grade 7 student Delta Thislte explained what it's like getting to be featured in the video.

“I was happy that everybody was able to see what the Fine Arts program is all about,” Thistle said. “And what we do in it – make dances up and other things.”

This is the third year the school has put together a video for the fine arts program.

Paige Atwood, another Grade 7 student in the program, is thrilled to be a part of the video.

“It's fun and exciting knowing that it's going to be shown to everyone,” Atwood said.

Atwood has enjoyed her experience in the Fine Arts program.

“In drama class we get to work together with acting. We get to work in groups make up dances and be creative with art,” Atwood said. “It's just fun.”

Open Roads is holding an orientation for all students going into Grades 6, 7 or 8 in the fall who are interested in joining the Fine Arts program. It begins at 6 p.m.
