Weather forecasters aren't too popular today, as the Gerald Cheng of Environment Canada notes the cold weather's going to be with us a bit longer.
"As we head into tonight, perhaps we may not make it to the extreme cold warning criteria of - 40 wind chill. However, that doesn't mean the risk of getting frostbite is not there," he noted.
Cheng adds the current system is expected to stay through the weekend.
"We're still looking at a pattern that's giving us below seasonal temperatures, and it looks like we'll have to get into March, before we can start hoping for some milder weather," he said.
At least, there's not much snow in the forecast. Cheng says a system may pass through Wednesday, but it's not expected to leave much, in terms of precipitation.
