There are two new nominations for Kenora city council. Andrew Poirier is looking for a return to council chambers, where he was elected to serve three times, before running for mayor in 2010.
Poirier continues to serve on the city's police services board, and he's currently the manager of operational services at the Kenora Catholic District School Board.
Jennifer McKibbon is running for the first time. She's been the co-chair of Making Kenora Home, and serves on the hospital board. She has also served the community as the manager for environmental health at the Northwestern Health Unit.
There are now eight people running for six vacancies:
1)Bernie, Robert (Bob)
2)Goss, Morton (Mort)
6)McMillan, Malcolm (Rory)
Dan Reynard's still the only one running for mayor. Election day is in late October.
