Firetrucks from Kenora Fire and Emergency Services responded quickly to protect homes neighbouring a fully-engulfed fire this morning in the city's north end.
"We had a call at about 6:30 this morning," said Kenora fire chief Todd Skene. "It came in as a fully-involved house fire. It ended up being a garage, in behind a house here on Third Street North. It was fully involved. All contents are destroyed, but the good thing is nobody's been hurt."
Skene says they're still looking into the cause, and there weren't any vehicles in the garage, at the time of the fire.
"Family's back in their house. We just put them back in their house for Christmas," said fire chief Todd Skene.
Crews responded to a call saying there was a house fire behind Women's Place Kenora around 6:30 a.m., and lots of hands meant the flames were contained and put out, without further damage. No injuries were reported, but the contents of the garage were destroyed.
