Firefighters are getting some help from the weather. Roughly 32 mm fell overnight near Separation Rapids, near Kenora Fire 71.
Still, about 150 personnel are working on containing and extinguishing it. The fire's was started by lightning July 15th, and firefighters from across the country have joined the fight.
They include Joe Russell of Newfoundland and Labrador.
"It's a great experience. It's good for our program. It's good incentive for others coming behind me. It's a great experience overall," he said.
