Forecasters say conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail. Weather specialists say thunderstorms have developed over Manitoba, and they are moving into northwestern Ontario this evening. Wind gusts of 90 km/h are possible within these thunderstorms.
According to the weather advisory issued by Environment Canada, very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Locally heavy rain is also possible.
