A 70-year-old Kenora man is facing sexual assault charges.

Kenora Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a sexual assault on Feb. 4. Members of the Kenora Crime Unit and Kenora Street Crime Unit investigated the complaint, which resulted in charges being laid on Friday, Feb. 10.

Claude Turcotte is facing the following offences under the Criminal Code: 

  • 7 counts of Adult Invitation to Sexual Touching under the Age of 16 contrary to section 152

  • Adult make Sexually Explicit Material available to Person Under 16 contrary to section 171.1(1)

  • Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 years contrary to section 173(2)

  • Sexual Assault contrary to section 271

He was held for a bail hearing to answer to the charges yesterday.

The investigation is continuing.
