Emergency responders are on the scene of collision in Vermilion Bay, which has blocked both lanes.

The Ministry of Transportation says that the collision happened at at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 647, near Bee Lake. Residents are asked to use extreme caution in the area.

Traffic control is currently in place, and delays can be expected. No word yet on any injuries, or an estimation on when the highway will be reopened.

The collision was reported to the ministry at 2:15 p.m.
