Students at St Thomas Aquinas High School were able to de-stress yesterday thanks to the We-School Team.
They decided to provide a series of activities as part of the school's first Wellness Day.
Grade 10 student, Katie Scutt is part of the We-School team.
"We brainstormed how we could best help the school, and we came up with Wellness Day as kind of a de-stress before exams. Because everyone is really stressed out at this time and it just helps to loosen up a little bit," she said.
She talked about the activities they came up with.
"We brainstormed what we thought would de-stress people. Because we're students ourselves we thought about what would de-stress us. Puppies came to mind, food, music jam rooms, and yoga," she said.
Scutt said they recognized that students with all different personalities and interests de-stress in different ways, so they tried to compensate for everyone.
The Wellness Day took place during the lunch hour with more than 15 activities to choose from.
Student exams take place next week.
