Kristen Patrick's part of a network looking for community support. She's part of the Parent and Infant Loss network in Kenora.
"Just being a woman and mother, who has experienced these types of losses, I was incredibly frustrated and lost... and I'm a health care provider," she said, after a delegation to city hall.
"I just felt like, if I wasn't able to access resources, someone who has no familiarity with resources would have an incredibly challenging time," she added.
Members of the network are getting support from staff at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Staff at the hospital estimate one in four mothers in the province will experience the loss of a pregnancy or an infant.
