Tenters on Lake of the Woods received medical attention, after a lightning strike during last night's storm.
Officers from the Kenora OPP responded by boat around 7 p.m. last night, and they were accompanied by paramedics.
Patients were taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital, but no serious injuries were reported.
While not hit directly by the lightning strike, the staff in the tent may have received an electrical charge from a nearby strike.
According to Environment Canada, 88 mm of rain fell in the Kenora area yesterday.
Firefighters also responded to fires at Clytie Bay and Redditt, after the thunderstorm.
McKenzie-Clearwater crews responded to reports of flames 10 ft high off D-Road near Clytie Bay. Trees were on fire near Redditt.
Longbow Lake crews got the call around midnight, after a tractor-trailer unit caught fire. Both lanes of the Trans-Canada were closed until about 5 a.m., as the debris was cleared away.
