Tory candidate Greg Rickford's getting ready for another visit by party leader Doug Ford. As the provincial election campaign gears up, Rickford talks about the issues.
"Families are complaining about high hydro rates," he said. "Programs that are supposed to be free, but nobody knows where they are or how to access them."
Tory leader Doug Ford is set to address mayors and councillors tomorrow in Kenora. Ford addressed party faithful in Kenora earlier this month, after a tour of the city's main street.
"High taxes, a lot of red tape, people having difficulty moving products, bringing employees on board, new employee regulations... I mean, these are things people just can't afford anymore," Rickford said, recalling his visits with local merchants and their customers.
"We're looking at making life more affordable," added Rickford. "We want frontline services and programs to actually be accessible to people."
Election day is set for June 7.
Premier Kathleen Wynne will be joined by her cabinet ministers Thursday in Kenora. Andrea Horwath of the NDP is also set to address mayors and councillors that day.
