Boaters will want to pay close attention to their charts.
"It is lower than usual right now, yes, but as many people probably remember it doesn't take too many big rainstorms to turn the situation around," says Andrew Liddiard from the Lake of the Woods Control Board.
He adds seasonal camp owners will also want to check twice, before setting their docks for the season.
"The low levels really do make it challenging. So, we're trying to not change flows not too drastically for a number of reasons. Both getting the lake level up and also keeping the spawn as stable as it can be on the river," he said.
