Legal action continues against 65-year-old Jack Wicksey. He's to appear in Dryden court Sept. 12, in connection with a serious of charges.
The charges stem from Wicksey's time at the Pelican Falls school near Sioux Lookout, where Wicksey was working with students between 1989-1991. According to the OPP, seven adult males have come forward with allegations of sexual assault that occurred, when they were under 16 years of age.
As a result of the police investigation, Wicksey -- who has been living in Los Fresno, Texas -- has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code and nine counts of sexual exploitation contrary to section 153(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Under the direction of Det./Insp. Gerry Scherer of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, he was arrested in Texas in June.
