It was a full house at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg for the 26th Annual Lake of the Woods Cottage Show, and President of the Lake of the Woods Property Owners Association, Nancy Salmijarvi is happy with the turnout.

“We’re thrilled with the number of exhibitors, and there’s been steady traffic through the door since we’ve opened!”, she says.

The Cottage Show had over 90 exhibitors, and well over 1000 visitors.

“It’s a welcome back to the cottagers for the summer, and a meet and greet for the people coming back to the lake!”, she added.

The Cottage Show and its exhibitors showcased all the bases of lake living ranging from real estate, boats and watersports equipment, restaurants, contract and construction suppliers and more.

Mayor Dave Canfield was in attendance, and he is also eager to welcome back our summer residents.

“The people are looking for the fun in the sun and the pontoon boats and getting out there fishing. It’s going to be a great summer and we’re looking forward to a lot of visitors and a lot more. There’s more exhibitors this year, which means more visitors in Kenora for the summer!”

The 55th Annual General Meeting for LOWDPOA was held after the show.
