Kenora Fire and Emergency Services are recruiting and are looking for those interested in a career within the firefighting field!

Volunteer firefighters are paid for their calls and training and preferences will be given to candidates who:

Able to meet the physical requirements of this demanding position 
Familiarity with General Level Firefighting Program would be an asset  
Must have a grade 12 diploma or the equivalency
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a requirement to obtain a DZ endorsement within one year
Hold a current and valid First Aid/CPR certificate
Willingness to commit to a minimum of 2 to 3 hours weekly
Must be able to attend the Firefighter Recruit Training Program — the dates of which will be communicated to applicants
Related experience, up to, but not limited to; nursing, carpentry, and mechanics
Mental alertness, ability to get along well with others, mechanical aptitude, conscientious, dependable and willingness to perform tasks assigned are all considered assets for these positions
