This Friday is International Women's Day and local organizations are asking for the community's assistance in acknowledging one incredible local woman who works tirelessly toward the advancement of women and girls in the Treaty #3 area through the Bread and Roses Award!

When nominating, keep in mind of women who have earned special achievements, accomplishments and shown volunteerism, passion, courage, leadership and dedication to the community. Youth and LGBTQ-2-Spirited+ nominations are also encouraged! 

Nomination forms can be found below and once completed can be emailed to [email protected]. Deadline to nominate is Wednesday, March 6 at 4:00pm.

The award winner will be announced on Friday at the Community International Women's Day Celebration at the Ontario Native Women's Association (136 Main St. S) from noon until 2:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend!
