The Canadian Mental Health Association is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year and Mental Health Week will run May 7 - 13.
On Thursday May 10, the CMHA Kenora Branch will be hosting "I’m OK but YOU need professional help: Creating recovery one laugh at a time!" show at the Royal Canadian Legion, Kenora Branch #12.
"Counsellor and stand-up comic David Granirer, who himself suffers from depression, will look at how comedy builds confidence and will show you mental health from a totally different perspective and how his Stand Up For Mental Health comics are creating recovery one laugh at a time."
Doors open at 6:00pm and show will start up at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25.00, which will go towards CMHA's efforts. They're available at 227 2nd St. S. Second Floor or by calling 807-468-1838.
Sara Diaz, Execuive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association Kenora Branch will be in tomorrow to talk more just after 7:00am on the Q Morning Show!
