Jumping into Lake of the Woods anytime in the winter seems preposterous to anyone - but not when a good cause is behind it!

23 plungers, including myself, graciously volunteered to help Special Olympics Ontario and Kenora's Special Olympians by collecting pledges and taking a dip into the freezing water at Anicinabe Park this weekend as part of the 2018 Polar Plunge.

75 per cent of the proceeds are headed to three Kenora Special Olympic bowlers to help them with travel and accommodations costs for when they go to Nationals in P.E.I in May!

The Polar Plunge in Kenora this year raised well over its $5000.00 goal as they counted a total amount of $7810.00!!!

The experience - not going to lie... it was cold! The anticipation of who I would follow to jump was almost as unbearable as the water itself!

But, would I do it again? Absolutely!
