Keewatin Public School held their annual "Mini Powwow" today in the school’s gymnasium. The all-nations powwow was an opportunity to teach over 90 KPS students about the aboriginal culture. Drummers from Rat Portage donated their time to the school so that students, faculty, parents and caregivers could come together to learn, dance and feast at the event.
Donated by members of the community, fish, bannock, wild rice and vegetables were available for lunch.

Mrs. Gayle Weyghant and Ms. Colleen Randall have spend the last six weeks making skirts for the girls and arm bands for the boys so that all students had something traditional to wear.
