Congratulations to Kenora guitarist/songwriter James Brose, who recently received news that his song "Badlands" was awarded top spot in the 2018 U.K. Songwriting Competition! The track features well-known musicians - singer George Belanger (Harlequin) bassist Ken "Spider" Sinnaeve (Loverboy, Streetheart), guitarist/producer Murray Pulver (Crash Test Dummies) and drummer Steve Broadhurst (Doc Walker/Road Hammers) and Brose himself on lead guitar.  James moved back to Kenora from Kitchener/Waterloo three years ago and has been spending time working on his musical craft and teaching guitar lessons to all levels of players.  His song "Let me In" tied for second place in three different categories and the song "The Way You Feel" took second place in the adult contemporary category.  Listen for our interview with James Brose on Friday's Q Morning Show.
