Beaver Brae Alumni, Missy Wilcox is back from Columbus, Ohio for the American Collegiate Hockey Association Championships… smiling, of course!

In the two years that her University team, the Lakehead Thunderwolves, have been able to participate in the ACHA tournament, they have won both!

They started strong winning 17-1 in their first game, which the high scoring was needed as the next round came to points scored. Missy scored two of those goals playing defense! The final game came down to the Thunderwolves and Minot state, with Lakehead taking the game 5-1!

She has sported #12 on her back all throughout her hockey career, from playing with the Peewee Thistles, all through Beaver Brae and on to Lakehead!

She’s now out of university and begins her five-week teaching placement at Beaver Brae this week!

Congratulations, Missy!
