Have you seen the new $10 note?

The Bank of Canada released a new Canadian $10 note to commemorate Canada 150. The note features important Canadian people, places and symbols. Some of the big features of the new note include- 

  • Canada's first prime minister - Sir John A. Macdonald

  • A man who played a large roll in the expansion of Canada - Sir George-Etienne Cartier

  • First woman elected into the House of Commons - Agnes Macphail

  • First member of the Senate of Indigenous origins - James Gladstone (Akay-na-muka)

  • Iconic Canadian land types such as the Coast Mountains, The Praires, The Canadian Sheild and The Alantic Coast

  • Iconic Canadian symbols such as the Assomption Sash, Owl's Bouquet and The Maple Leaf

If you find one of the new $10 notes, hold on to it because there is only 40 million in existence!
