Kids in Kenora will soon have an extra activity to take part in this summer with the help of many community members, businesses and grants.
The Kenora Rotary Club is over $250,000 towards its goal of building a splash park - and it's looking like kids will be able to use it this summer! The Club is hoping to put the shovels in the ground in the spring and the splash park should be ready to go by the July long weekend.
There are still some funds needed for the new park, and you can help out!
The Kenora Rotary Club will be hosting a pancake breakfast this Sunday, February 11 from 8:00am - 11:00am at the Log Cabin Tavern. Not only a delicious breakfast will be served, but sweets will be available for purchase with their bake sale! All proceeds will be going directly back to the Splash Park Fund. The cost for the breakfast is $10.00.
More ways to help out!
The Rotary Club is still offering the community to be a historic part of the splash park as they are selling bricks, which will be placed around the splash pad! Bricks are available for purchase in two sizes: 4x8” for $100.00 and 8x8” for $250.00, which will be engraved!
