Safe Communities Kenora is looking for nominations for their Ambassador of Safety Awards to recognize the efforts of the people, businesses, and organizations in our community who supported Safe Communities Kenora in making Kenora a safer place to live!

They’re looking for nominations for Ambassador of Safety Awards in three categories: individual volunteerism, private sector contribution, and community service partners. 

  • Ambassador for Safety Award for Individual Volunteerism:
    The nominee, an individual, has played an active role in support of the Safe Community Leadership Table in the past year.
    The nominee has been a consistent and effective supporter of injury prevention and safety promotion initiatives championed by the Safe Community and/or by community partners.
  • 
Ambassador for Safety Award for a Private Sector Contribution:
    The nominee, a business operation or private firm, has played an active role in support of the Safe Community Leadership Table in the past year.
    The nominee has provided some support, either in-kind, material or financial donations, to support the work of the Safe Community. 

  • Ambassador for Safety Award for Community Service Partners:
    The nominee, a community organization that works in partnership with the Safe Community, has played an active role in support of the Safe Community in the past year.
    The nominee has provided some support, either in-kind, material or financial donations, to support the work of the Safe Community.The nominee has dedicated itself to injury prevention and safety promotion in some form that has had a positive community impact.

Anyone can nominate and letters of nominations can be sent to [email protected] Please include the name of the nominee, the category you are nominating them for, and a brief message describing why you think they should be recognized!  The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 15th at noon.

Award recipients will be announced at the Safe Communities Annual General Meeting, which is taking place on February 26th.
