Kenora's Jane Mathews is gearing up for an 18-day bicycle ride to raise money to help fight childhood cancer with the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride.
She's been training since November to embark on a 7000 kilometer ride across Canada starting in Vancouver, BC and ending in Halifax, NS. With a team of 35 other cyclists, she will be riding and visiting communities to raise awareness of the need for increased funding in the area of childhood cancers.
This is the tenth year for the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride and throughout, over 35 million dollars has been raised. Jane's goal is to raise $15,000!
