St. Louis School is giving you a chance to celebrate Family Day Weekend with a day of ice fishing!
On Sunday, February 18 between 11:00am and 2:00pm at the Beatty Park docks (Two Bears Marina), the school will be holding an ice fishing derby where lots of great prizes (for both kids and adults) are available to be won!
Lunch will also be available for purchase, as hamburgers and hot dogs can even be delivered to your hole!
$500.00 will go to the heaviest fish, $250.00 for the longest and $100.00 for the smallest fish. A 50/50 draw will also be held, with all proceeds going to the Lake of the Woods CT Scanner.
The cost for the event is $10.00 per hole and there are 200 holes available. You can bring your own fishing rod, or if you don't have one - they will be provided by the MNR on site! There is no need to get bring a fishing licence, as it's free fishing weekend!
Tickets are available at A&W, LOTW Outfitters and Keewatin Pharmacy.
Hear more on the derby when Michelle Bouchard, part of the St. Louis School Council joins Ken O'Neil on the Q Morning show tomorrow after 8:00am!
