The Kenora Sexual Assault Centre will be holding a women's march in protest of sexual violence towards women. The 26th annual "Take Back the Night" women's march will be held Thursday, September 21 at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to come together at the Ne Chee Friendship Centre to meet beforehand.
KSAC will be placing cardboard silhouettes of women, children and youth around the community throughout the week, representing the fact that many people have been affected by such violence.
"Take Back the Night" is an international march and is a powerful opportunity for survivors and their supporters to actively build connections and courageously stand up against violence.
This march is free, and everyone is encouraged to participate and help break the silence around sexualized violence against women.
