On Saturday, March 2, as part of the Kenora Winter Carnival, we're encouraged to take the plunge into the icy waters of Lake of the Woods for a good cause.

The Polar Plunge returns to Kenora for its second year and is presented by the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run and is in support of Special Olympics Ontario! Some of the proceeds will go to help local special olympians as we have seven bowlers off to Nationals in Oshawa in June!

Registration is at 1:30pm with the Polar Plunge starting at 2:00pm at Anicinabe Park and everyone is welcome to watch!

You can register, donate or even dare a friend to take the plunge at Polar Plunge Kenora!

There will also be a donation bin on-site and there are some extre incentives for those who register and raise the most money. (See below)

"On Saturday, March 2 I will be "Freezin' for a Reason" and I would love your support!

This will be my second time jumping into the ice-cold waters of Lake of the Woods as part of the Polar Plunge, which is an event of the Law Enforcement Torch Run initiative. My first experience, not going to lie, was blistering cold - but it was for a reason - to raise funds for our local and provincial Special Olympians! My goal is to raise $500.00 and am asking you kindly to help me reach my goal. Big or small, everything helps! "The Polar Plunge, presented by the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run is a fun opportunity to support Special Olympics Ontario athletes by taking a flying leap – a leap into very cold water!" ...they're not wrong!

Thank you in advance for your support as I be "bold and cold" at Anicinabe Park during the Kenora Winter Carnival!"
