Margaret Friesen
July 21, 1941 – February 9, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and sadness, we the family announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Nana and true friend to many.

Mom was born and raised in Sainte Rose du Lac, Manitoba, working on the farm before moving to Winnipeg to start her career at Eatons.

Marge was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Kathryn Wall and her four siblings Art, Helen, Liz and Mary.

She will be greatly missed by her 4 children, Glenda, Darryl (Elaine), Doyle (Crystal), and Dallas (Claude), as well as her 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle and Ryan whom she was affectionately known as Nana. The many friendships that blossomed throughout her life would be to many too mention and Moms special coffee/lunch friends will forever have a void that will be hard to fill.

Mom was happiest surrounded by her friends and working in her garden, where she has a knack for bringing out the best in every seed she sowed. Her crocheted blankets and sweaters were second to none.

Her unwavering devotion to her family, friends and faith was evident throughout her years. Mom had a love for animals and took great pleasure in sharing her home with many furry companions throughout her life.

We would like to thank our friends, family and colleagues for the messages, kind gestures and offers of help in this time of sorrow. The kind words and stories are forever in our hearts.

Thank you to Cory and staff at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre for their guidance and compassion throughout this time.

Cremation has taken place and a private family/friends Celebration of Life in honour of Marge will take place at a later date.

Mom, you will be loved and missed beyond measure.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marge’s memory, to a charity of one’s choice or dearest to one’s heart.

Wherever a beautiful soul has been,
there is a trail of beautiful memories.

Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre entrusted with arrangements.
