Colten ‘Peanut’ Fobister

Colten ‘Peanut’ Paul Fobister (nee Colten Clint Kokopenace) of the Sturgeon Clan.

Colten was born in Winnipeg, MB on August 4, 1990. He resided in Grassy Narrows with his older brother Leon and their late mother Marcia. Colten was a happy, kind and loving person. He always had a warm hug and a big smile for anyone he met along his path. He never missed a chance to say “I love you” to his family and friends. He liked entering contests and participating in community game days. He liked giving a helping hand in caring for his loop family pets and had a few of his own over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing video games, as well as cooking for his kookum and family. Growing up Colt was inseparable from his younger brother Jesse, and his long-time best friends Darwin Fobister and RJ Bruce, who will miss him dearly.

Colten was predeceased by his mother Marcia L. Fobister, his maternal grandparents Andrew and Nancy Fobister, his nephews Dylan Crawford and Marcus Fobister, his grandaunt Jessie Assin, his aunties Victoria and Marilyn Fobister, Shirley Fobister, his uncles Jason & Kevin Michin (Fobister), and his cousins Skye Swain and Shamandee Fobister.

Colten will be remembered by his father John C. Kokopenace Sr., his shoomish Fred Land, his dear kookum Susan Fobister, his siblings Leon and Jacqueline Fobister, John Jr., Rose (Jordan), Jesse and Tamas Kokokopenace, and Della-Rayne Scott, his nephews Noel, Evan, Amaru, Riley and Austin, his nieces Lucianna, Peyton, Emmalyn, his grandaunts Clara, Brenda, Evelyn, and Rita, his granduncle Jerry, his auntie’s Cindy, Penny (Tony), Lucy, Rita (Fred), Stephanie (Leonard), Pamela, Carla, Carolyn and Cayla, his uncle’s Ian, Georgie, Jeff, Ryan, Randall, Kenny (Janet), Freddie, Terry, Levi, Joseph, Eric and Roland, his cousins Jordan, Nyssa, Nathan (Raylene) Beardy, Frank, Natalyn, Nyla, Marni, Jeremy, Cara, Susanne, Andrew, Amber, Aaron, Douglas Jr, Daniel, Alexei, Micheal, Willow, Waylon, Keira, Billy, Daunyss, Paul, Kian, Dreyson and many more family members too numerous to mention.

A wake service will begin on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 3:00pm at the Trappers Building, Grassy Narrows, Ontario. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 10:00am at Trappers Building with interment to follow.
