A local high school is working to get students into the workforce.
St. Thomas Aquinas held it’s annual summer jobs fair last week.
Some of the participants included the Pinecrest home for the Aged, Lake of the Woods Employment Action Project, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Treaty Three Police Service, and the Northwestern Health Unit.
The summer career fair was launched back in 2018 to try to bridge the gap between students and the local community.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board says the Summer Job Fair is just one of several career-oriented events held throughout the academic year for high school students.
