The Manitoba RCMP say they have seized over 61 kilograms of cocaine after they stopped a vehicle on Highway 1 west of the Ontario Border.

The drug bust actually took place on March 29th, but so far no charges have been laid.

The Mounties say their Roving Traffic Unit pulled over a vehicle in the Rural Muncipality of Reynolds.

Officers believed the driver was in possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

A search of the SUV uncovered a aftermarket compartment in the reach of the vehicle containing the cocaine.

The RCMP say the driver was placed into custody, and their investigation is continuing.
