Janelle passed away suddenly on April 9, 2024 at her residence in Onigaming First Nation.
She was born in Fort Frances, Ontario and was raised in Onigaming First Nation.
Janelle was predeceased by Edna (Jim) Whitefeather, Albert (Louise) Herbert Sr, Delford Bob, Darlene (Dolly) Bob, best friend/sister Kelli (Kai) Morrison, uncles; AJ, Lonnie P., grandpa Clifford, Jerry, Bob P, grandpa Jack Cowley, grandma Evelyn (Tony) White, grandma Donna Joseph, grandpa Allan RC, Junior Bob, aunt; Anne Bob, cousins Junior, Lonnie R., Cory, Little Lawrence, Jared RC, Clayton, Aaron K., Arizona, Nia, Sasha, Seyla, Hazel, Margaret Angel, Giselle and Alicia Gail.
She is survived by her children Carter and Zaiden, parents Janet Bob and Neil Herbert, siblings Jon Bob, Jared, Jaylene (Leslie), Samarah and special friend Kyle Monias., aunties; grandma big mama Rosana, Hazel (Rick), Valentina, Gayle, Tracy (Spence), Sharon (Zach), Anne (Darryl), uncles; grandpa Robert, grandpa James, grandpa Steve Joseph, Leonard, Rory (Alvena), John (Kathy) and numerous cousins, and close friends.
Janelle received her High School Diploma, and went on to receive her Tourism & Hospitality Certificate, and Culinary Certificate from Seven Generations Institute.
Janelle enjoyed cooking and being outdoors, being in nature, enjoying time by the lake, and watching her boys swim and fish. She loved to doodle and draw in her free time. She loved being at home and spending time with her children.
Wake service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 beginning at 2:00 pm at the Onigaming Customary Care Building. Traditional Funeral Service will be led by Leslie Copenace Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Onigaming Customary Care Building with burial to follow.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Bryant, Kyle Monias, Charles (Chowy), Harold Brun Jr., P.J. Herbert, Tom Copenace, Skylare Jack and Brennen Kelly.
