Today, we gather with heavy hearts to honor the life and legacy of Marcia, a luminary in the realm of healthcare services who illuminated the path of healing and compassion with her unwavering dedication and insatiable thirst for knowledge. Her noble pursuit of educational excellence and relentless commitment to serving others exemplified the true essence of selflessness and altruism. Marcia’s profound impact resonated far and wide, touching the lives of those in need and inspiring hope in the darkest of moments.

The matriarch of the family, known for her culinary prowess and warm hospitality, cultivated a nurturing haven where love and laughter flowed freely. Her culinary creations, steeped in tradition and infused with love, brought generations together in a symphony of flavors and shared experiences, fostering unity and camaraderie that blossomed into cherished memories enduring through time.

As we celebrate Marcia’s life, we honor the Anishnabe perspective on life and death, recognizing the interconnectedness of all beings and the sacred cycles of existence. Through the teachings of mindfulness and spiritual resonance, we find solace in the wisdom of our ancestors and the guidance of the spirit world.

Marcia was predeceased by her grandparents George Land Sr., Annie Land, Adolphus Cameron, and Florence Cameron, parents Nazarus Land Sr. and Agnes Land, sister Arlene Land, brother’s Bradley Land, Bryden Land Sr., Darnell Land, Barrett Land, Lawrence Land, nephews Nathan Muckle, Robert Smith, Laney Smith, son’s Raymond Land, Calamy Land, grandson’s Baby Cloud and White Little Eagle, and dad/brother Adolphus Cameron. Marcia is survived by her uncle’s George Land, Fred Land, Jerry Land, siblings Darryl Land, Nazarus Land Jr., Claudette Land, Fawn Land, Konrad Sandy, Rollie Fisher, Jennie Fisher, Kirk Cameron, husband Ray Wawence, daughters Raelynn, Leanna, Rheanna, son John Savoyard, mom Cindy Cameron, grandson’s Rawson, Maiingan, Raymond Land Jr., Izayah, Ira, Nathan and Seth whom she loved with a passion, nieces and nephews Jonothan (Rachelle), Chantal, Donovan, Vanessa, Cheryl, Michelle, Rheanna, Brent, Donald, Naomi, Janette, Leona, Wanda, Barry, Dakota, Shaylynn, Hope, Bryce, Achilles, Tiernan, Kastiel as well as many others too numerous to mention, her Foster Children Christina, Chelsea, Christopher and Jodie Muckle.

Her close friends Bertha Boyd and Harvey Smith, who she loved and admired very much. As well as many other family members that are too numerous to mention. She loved everyone in our family!

The family would like to thank Cory from Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre who she had a good close friendship with, O.P.P, Minaki Fire Department, Kenora Paramedics.

A wake service will begin on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 11:00am at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School, Whitedog, Ontario. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:00am at the Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School, Whitedog, Ontario with burial to follow.
