The Town of Sioux Lookout is looking to develop another large piece of property.
This one is located on 26.9 acres of land near the airport.
Economic Development Officer Jennifer Esposito says they are looking for a mix of residential and commercial developments.
“Our priorities for the property are a hotel and conference center, other commercial space, and attached and multi-unit housing construction,” explains Esposito.
“So those are the kinds of projects we’re really looking for and those need to be submitted by May 29th.”
Esposito says the land is located between Bigwood Lake and the Airport and they are seeking a single developer for the land.
“We didn’t actually didn’t have this property ready for sale so soon, but we have some pretty interested and eager buyers so we expedited this project and got it available. That’s why we got it released just so that we can give the buyers an opportunity to move forward.”
This is the third major development the town has unveiled in the past couple of months.
