Destiny Bree Courtney Boyd

It is with great sadness and a very broken heart that Bertha and Joseph Boyd announce the passing of their daughter Destiny Bree Courtney Boyd.
Destiny is survived by her two beautiful daughters Haylo Courage Desirae Jamieson and Allariah Nylah Desiraya Boyd.
Destiny was a true gift in this world and her love impacted everyone who was blessed to be in it. We will all miss her gentle teasing, her contagious laughter, and spirit. Everything she did she did was with love and heart.
Destiny wore her heart on her sleeve and loved without barriers. She had the utmost respect and love for her children, culture and Elders. She took pride in creating regalia for her daughters often finishing last minute touches and helping others complete theirs. Elders would smile when they’d see Destiny as she delivered meals. Destiny held space of kindness and the Elders would smile and laugh.
Destiny loved being a mom. She raised her daughters as a single mom and provided endless love and care to them. Her heart opened and she even adopted two others in her heart.
Destiny loved playing baseball and fishing. Her love, laughter, teasing will be missed she had a gift of no other.
Destiny was predeceased by her daughter Skylyn Grace Boyd, great grandparents Margaret Muckle, Robert and Gertrude, Maggie and William McDonald, grandparents Alan McDonald, Joseph Sr. & Shirley Boyd, Gabriel Boyd, Eddy Mcdonald, Bertha McDonald, Marie, Victoria, William, Peter, Paul, Eddy Scott, her brother Allan Joseph Boyd and sister Harmony Boyd, aunties Christine, Valentina Scott, Maxine Boyd, her uncles Wayne Paishk, Larry Boyd, her cousins, Alvin McDonald, Darcy, Desmond, Chasity Boyd, Jerald McDonald, Belinda Paishk, Noah, Ethan Scott, and Alex Muckle.
She leaves to mourn her loving parents Joseph and Bertha Boyd, her siblings Keenan, India (Corey) Treyton, Brielle and Toya. Her Kookum’s Barbara Scott, Mama Agnes Mcdonald and Bernadette McDonald, her niece Lovelee Cameron, and nephew Avian Boyd and last but not least her protector pup drogo. Foster babies Evelyn and Xaivery McDonald Her teachers Sheena Kivisto, Ryan Wheeler, Robert Creedon, Gay McDonald, Lindsay Robinson, Mario Ramas(Margaret). Her councilor Marta Queen and her daughter Michelle Queen. With many more family and friends too numerous to mention if any forgotten it was unintentional.

A wake service for Destiny will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School Gymnasium, Whitedog, Ontario. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School Gymnasium with burial to follow in Whitedog First Nation.
