The Lake of the Woods Control Board has authorized a couple of increase in outflow from the Norman Dam.

The first took place yesterday.

Another will take place today and there will be one tomorrow.

The Control Board says depending on the amount of rain, further increases in outflow may be authorized.

Outflow was increased to 225 m3/s on Tuesday, 300 m3/s today, and 400 m3/s by Thursday May 23rd.

Water levels on Lake of the Woods are expected to go up anywhere from 15 to 35 millimeters this week.

The lake ended up going up 6 centimeters last week.

Because of increases in outflow water levels on the Winnipeg River could go up by 40 centimeters below the Norman Dam and 16 centimeters at the Dalles by Friday.
