Carl Lee Dwight Jamieson Jr. age 34, was a resident of Wabaseemoong Independent Nations passed away on Friday June 21, 2024.

Carl Jr. was born on September 19, 1989 to Carl Jamieson Sr. and Helen Muckle.

When Carl Jr. was a young boy, his family gave him the nickname squeetch, which he has been known as his whole life.

Carl Jr lived a beautiful life. In his short years he has accomplished so much and had so much to give. He began working young obtaining certificates in many areas. Carl Jr. has worked on construction in his community of Wabaseemoong and has made strong and lasting friendships within the community and was given many opportunities for advancements which made him and all his family extremely proud of all his accomplishments. However, in recent years, he had taken on a role as a firefighter with MNR, year after year he would return to his seasonal job and often talked about how proud he was serving as a firefighter. He always spoke about all the friends and people he met on his adventures.

Carl Jr. was a proud father to all his children. He loved going on outings with his children and spending time outdoors with them. His children gave him strength during rough times and laughter and joy all the time. Carl Jr. Found the beauty in everything, especially those created by him and his children. He was extremely proud of his children an embodied the best qualities of unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity for all his family; his family and friends hold dear memories of him which will be shared with his children one day of their proud, funny, loving dad.

Carl Jr. will be missed and is survived by his common law partner Michelle Boyd and their children, Leirah, Abbey, Zariah and Karson Jamieson. And his daughter in Wabaskang, Xandriana Sunflower Wesley Whom he loved unconditionally. His father Carl Jamieson Sr. And his brothers Raymond and Taylor Muckle. His nephews: Darrel-Jay Arbuckle and Jerry Taylor Boyd. His aunts: Ida Jamieson, Beverly Muckle, Ilene Muckle, Teresa (Randy) Muckle, and Colleen Quewezance; Uncles: John Paul (Wendy) Jamieson, Larry McDonald, Marvin (Georgina) McDonald/Quewezance, and Mark Quewezance. Great Aunts: (Kookums), Gloria (Gus) Paishk, Angie Cameron, Margaret Hunter; Great Uncle (shoomis) Danny (Doreen) Hunter; Special mention to his grandma Grace Muckle; cousins: Fitzpatrick, Jessica, Sonny, Colin Jamieson, Canaan Kejick; Shawna, Jade, Chloe, Storm Jamieson; Joey, Jaron, Montana Jamieson; Lena, Vincent, Dayna, Connor Jamieson; Terry Muckle, Randy Jr. George, Ray, Brent McDonald, Naomi, and Darcy Quewezance; and, many other extended family and friends.

Carl Jr. is predeceased by his Beloved mother Helen Muckle, whom he missed so much. His son Karyl Leiland Deondre Jamieson Jr. His sister Sondra Mandamin. His grandparents Joseph and Jessie Jamieson; Grandpa Johnny Quewezance; Great-Grandmother Olive Cameron. Uncles: Stuart Jamieson, Joey Jamieson; Aunts: Lena Jamieson, Sylvia Jamieson, and Breena Mooney and Little Brayden.

Pallbearers will be his friends who were his work family at MNR.

Carl Jr.’s Family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the community of Wabaseemoong, Wabaseemoong Chief and Council, Treaty Three Police, Kenora OPP, Jodie Muckle and the crisis team in Wabaseemoong; Dr Lass, and Brown’s Funeral Home.

A wake service will be held Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at Michelle Boyd’s Residence, Whitedog, Ontario. A wake service will occur Friday, July 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School Gymnasium, Whitedog, Ontario. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School Gymnasium, Whitedog, Ontario with interment to follow.
