The family of Judy Alcock (nee Konaby) announces the passing of a beloved mother and grandmother and great grandmother on September 14, 2024 at the age of 78. She peacefully fell in eternal sleep at her home in Pinecrest.

Predeceased by her parents Violet and Michael Konaby Sr., sister Mary Konaby and brother Michael Konaby Jr.

Leaving behind to mourn are: her ex-husband Donald Alcock, who were still very close, her daughter Sheila, son Duane, granddaughters Stacey Netzel (Devin) their kids Matthew, Rebecca and Paige, Jessica Catlin (Greg) their kids Ebon, Abigail and Chloe. Judy is also survived by her siblings, Robert (Michael), Helen, Rosalie and John, and many numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Judy was born in Kenora January 11, 1946. She would argue that she was the world’s biggest Elvis Presley fan. She spent her life as a housewife and full time mother moving across the country with her family while her husband worked as a truck driver. She enjoyed birdwatching, hummingbirds being one of her favourites, She also loved cockatiels and had many as pets through the years. Through her mid years she was an active legion member as well.

The family would like to thank the staff at LWDH and Pinecrest Home staff, Dr. nurses and PSW’s for the excellent care of our mom and grandmother during these last few weeks. Mom loved the staff at Pinecrest and they absolutely loved her wittiness and humor as she always made them laugh.

In Lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Pinecrest Home or your local Legion.

Cremation has taken place and as per Judy’s wishes there will be no service.

This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.
