A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an assault on the Webequie First Nation.
The incident was reported Saturday night on School Road in the community, when a man and a woman were involved in an alternation.
The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service say the woman sustained injuries consistent with a stabbing.
She was taken to Thunder Bay hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
The suspect faces three charges including attempting to commit murder. possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and four counts of violating a release order.
He’s been remanded into custody pending a future court date.
