Warm weather expected to continue into the fall

The warm weather we’re enjoying should continue on into the rest of this month and even October.

That’s according to the Fall Forecast just released by the Weather Network.

Dr. Doug Gillham says we should have above average temperatures for most of this autumn season.

“We lose two degrees off of normal every week, but what an extraordinary stretch of summer weather,” states Gillham.

“We are seeing temperatures more typical of mid-summer and even normal for July and August over the next seven plus days.  Temperatures are expected to warmer than normal right to the end of Septembers and well into October.”

Gillham says towards the end of fall, we should expect temperatures to cool right off, even below normal in late November.

Meanwhile, an active pattern along the Pacific coast is expected to deliver above normal precipitation totals to southern B.C.

Otherwise, the Weather Network expects that the rest of Canada will experience fewer than normal fall storms through October.
